Feed The Beast
A tiny city builder game made in one day for Trijam 374
Build a little town, defeat the beast that is eating your villagers. Inspired by my futile attempts to protect villagers in modded Minecraft, this short cozy game has you construct any type of settlement you like while occasionally being attacked by a monster feeding on the population. In order to stop it, you must accumulate enough gold to hire some outside help.
Controls:
move the camera by right mouse-clicking and dragging
select building and place it with left mouse click
I made the pixel art in Aseprite and the code for this game in Godot. By hour 3 I had a working project but it was more of a paint program than a game, so I went over the time limit in order add a little bit of story. This was my first attempt to make a very small game in a very short amount of time for Trijam. I hope you enjoy.
