Gondola Space Seasonal Pixel Art Museum Gallery 2023

Hello and welcome to the Gondola Space Autumnal Celebration 2023 Pixel Art Jam digital art museum gallery!

This very special project is a short interactive exhibit that is the product of the collaboration of several people in our online art community space. We hosted an event through our Discord that had participants make pixel art images measuring 160x144 pixels and the theme was the changing of the seasons! I took all the submissions and compiled them into a digital environment you can walk around in using wasd and mouse to observe. I sincerely hope you enjoy what our community came together to make and I would love to see you come join us for our next event! 

The gallery includes 5 rooms, a lobby showing some highlights of the event, and one room dedicated to each season. We got over 30 submissions! Can you believe it? Yes indeed! See if you can spot them all.

As the description of our group goes, Gondola Space: A Space for Gondolas is an art community centered around creating and appreciating Gondola, a meme art in the genre of New Naivete, as a form of meditation and self expression.

Gondolas are peaceful creatures that travel far and wide through everyday and unusual places, observing their environments appreciating the beauty, transience, and imperfection of the world. They do not utter a single word or leave a trace, and yet they leave a huge impact on the characters they meet. Gondola pictures aim to explore the human condition, often with the goal of delighting the viewer by portraying emotional or heartwarming scenes. Gondola is like a child who looks upon the world with infinite curiosity and wonder and finds joy.

Every Gondola picture is characterized by embodying sincerity and compassion, not cynicism and irony. By sharing your pictures with others, you share joy and help make this little garden we call the internet a little more nice and kind. We hope this little sanctuary can offer you refuge, ease your suffering, and increasing delight.
