The Legend of Gondola

The Legend of Gondola is a roleplaying game about going on a pilgrimage in a peaceful and cozy world filled with holy shrines, friendly people to meet, and wonderful things to see where you form pleasant memories wherever you go. 

The hero of this journey is none other than a Gondola, a cute little bear creature with no arms, which makes it hard to interface with the world, and yet you will find there are many ways to affect and be affected by the people and places you encounter. Gondola is a special part of the internet memetic canon of characters that represent various philosophical ideas like the Daoist wu-wei or mono-no-aware. This is sometimes incorrectly understood in the West as being lazy or passive, but as this game explores, Gondola is anything but inactive in the face of adversity. 

Gameplay features:

Gondola walks across the land in perpetual travel and observes many beautiful and sublime things, and in the process "collects" a nice memory. A snapshot of that transient moment in time to take with you on your journey. 

In the world of this game, you can assume that nobody will hurt you, and every person will be welcoming. There are many problems that cause of the local people to suffer, such as environmental degradation and the troublemaking of malicious deities. Through carefree wandering, spreading joy and compassion, Gondola helps those in need and repairs these damages. 

To this end, there are many items to collect and skills to cultivate on your journey. Visiting shrines increases wisdom. Eating food helps replenish your stamina. Gathering plants and observing animals increases your nature lore. And so on. Your total skill influences how you can liberate the suffering of the locals, thus increasing the happiness of the people and yourself.
