A Gentle Hike

    

    A Gentle hike is a peaceful exploration print-and-play RPG with a fun twist: you will draw everything as you go! You briefly create a character, create a short description for the world, then set out with your trusty pen and paper drawing a road map and little sketches of landscapes your character encounters. This is meant to be a creative solo or collaborative game and lots of tables are provided to help you generate ideas for interesting things to see. You will need either one d12 or one of those convenient online dice rollers.

    "You are a curious pilgrim in a gentle and verdant land. You know not what your journey will have in store for you, but you can be sure that it will be peaceful; full of welcoming people to visit and spectacular things to see. Your travels will bring you through beautiful fields, desolate mountains, mysterious forests, and places you cannot even imagine yet. Sometimes when you feel particularly inspired, you break out your trusty artist tools and sketch the grandiose landscapes before you. Along the way you make note of the rumors, observations, landmarks, and locals you see along the way."

    The document is meant to be printed on both sides of 8.5" by 11" (215.9 by 279.4 mm) paper and folded along the center lines. Then you can stack them together so that each number page 1(cover)-16 is in order as you turn. You can staple it in the center fold or tie it off with thread so it doesn't fall apart as you turn the page.  The last two pages, the map grid and the sketches template, can be printed out for new games as many times as you like.
